Q: What blogger would you most like to meet in real life? Tell us about him or her.

Wow, this is quite an interesting question. I don't think I can narrow down my answer to just one blogger because I have a few bloggers who are very faithful followers and who consistently help me promote my posts through twitter.

I would say that there are three bloggers who I would like to meet the most:

  1. He is such an awesome blogger, and he is so much more than your usual book lover. He has been so supportive of my blog, and I couldn't be more grateful!  His reviews are very constructive and enticing to read, and you just know that he puts in a lot of thought behind them to make them as valuable as possible for the author and the readers. He also posts very interesting entries and short stories which are written by himself and they are completely lovely! Such creativity... I love it, and it would be an honor to meet him in real life!

  2. This girl is so talented with her way of writing. No matter the length of her reviews or posts, she makes it so interesting to read and I can help but giggle throughout all of her post entries. I really pick up most of my book recommendations from her, so it would be a real pleasure to finally meet her in person!

  3. Stephanie has also been one of those blogger who has been so supportive of my blog and has been a consistent and genuine follower. I am so thankful that she is so supportive and it is always such a pleasure to visit her blog. She has invited me to write a guest post on her blog, relating to fictional couples (Friday Couples). This is wonderful weekly post which she does where she talks about relationships between two fictional characters, and shares her honest opinions with her readers! She had a very creative mind and a great way of writing, so it would be my pleasure to meet her one day in real life:)

Please make sure to check out these lovely bloggers, as they really do deserve all the attention for all their hard and creative work! :)

Cover Reveal: True Love's First Kiss by Heidi Garrett

In the Enchanted World, true love’s first kiss is magic.

Nandana’s Mark, Book 1: When two half-faeries—Melia and her younger sister—are cursed under dreadful circumstances, true love’s first kiss is the remedy.

The Flower of Isbelline, Book 2: Nothing but true love’s first kiss can save Melia’s younger sister from blind ambition and ruin.

The Dragon Carnivale, Book 3: Melia must choose the freedom she cherishes or true love’s first kiss—and a relationship that promises to secure her place in the Whole.

The Queen of the Realm of Faerie is a fairy tale fantasy series that bridges the Mortal and Enchanted worlds. The main character, Melia, is an eighteen-year-old half-faerie, half-mortal. She lives in Illialei, a country in the Enchanted World, with her two sisters and their mother. Melia’s father has been exiled to the Mortal World, and her best friend is a pixie.

When the story opens in the first book, Melia is troubled by her dark moon visions, gossip she overhears about her parents at the local market, and the trauma of living among full-blooded faeries with wings—she doesn’t have any.

As the series unfolds, the historic and mystical forces that shape Melia’s life are revealed. Each step of her journey—to find the place where she belongs—alters her perceptions about herself, deepens her relationships with others, and enlarges her world view.

True Love’s First Kiss is a compilation of the first three books in this ongoing series

Peachy News: The Liberator by Victoria Scott EXCERPT & The Collector Giveaway!!

Helloo Everyone!

So this is the moment that we have been waiting, for those who are the big Dante Walker fans (and that's obviously everyone, duuh!)!! Feast your eyes and your brain on the excerpt of The Liberator, the second book out of the Dante Walker series by the great and wonderful Victoria Scott!!

When I open my eyes, the sun is trying to murder me. It’s shining on my face and making my head pound. Or maybe it’s my hangover that’s giving me the headache, butnonetheless—me and the sun?—we’re not on friendly terms.

Charlie murmurs beside me. My arms are still wrapped around her
waist, and I suddenly realize I must have crashed out in her bed last night. If Grams wakes up and finds me here, she’ll run me a bath…and toss in the toaster.

“Morning, babe,” I whisper.

“Morning, hot stuff,” a distinctly male voice responds. I whip around, my heart racing, and find Max sitting in a chair across the room.

“You look so hot when you first wake up,” he says. He raises a hand to his hair. “Got that whole sexy bed head thing going on.” Charlie doesn’t even move from her place, but I feel her laughing against me.

“Your friend is kind of creepy, Dante,” she manages.

“Max, what the hell are you doing in here?” I ask, pulling the covers farther up even though I’m (regretfully) fully-clothed.

“Real question is, why did I wait so long to join you guys?” Max stands from his chair and cocks his head. A mischievous smile crawls across his face.

“No,” I say, trying to appear serious.

“Don’t even think about it, dude.” Max starts running in place, his smile widening farther until he looks deranged. “Ready or not!” Before I can stop him, Max races toward the bed and dives on top of us.

“Oh! Oh it feels even better than I imagined.” He rolls back and forth across our bodies as Charlie laughs and I wonder why I’m friends with such a raging idiot. With all my strength, I grab Max’s shirt and rotate him toward the edge. He falls off the side, his arms pin-wheeling. There’s a loud thud, and then nothing.

I wait for several seconds before leaning over to search for him. Max is lying face down on the floor, his arms and legs curled like a dead spider.

“You’re not really hurt,” I say.

“I think you gave me spinal bifida. You need to call someone.”

“That’s a genetic disorder,” I respond with a sigh, collapsing back onto my pillow. A second later, he raises his head very, very slowly up from the side of the bed. It’s one of the more unsettling things he’s ever done.

“Max, is there a purpose to this visit?” I ask. I want so badly to act like he’s annoying me. But he knows, and I know, that we both love this game: the one where I pretend he’s a pain in my ass, and he acts like a damn circus clown.

He stands up, crosses the room, and plops back down in the chair. “Valery sent me.”

I throw an arm across my eyes. “Of course she did.” Beside me, Charlie moves to get up and I immediately reach for her. She squeals and wiggles out of my grasp. I watch as she walks around the bed and ruffles Max’s hair. The twenty-eight year old pants like a dog. It’s a bit disturbing considering Charlie’s seventeen. She eyes me with a grin. “I’ll make waffles.”

My face lights up.

“Yes,” she continues. “And bacon.”

I glance at Max and nod toward Charlie. “That’s my girl.”

“Damn straight,” he says.

“I’m still making breakfast for your birthday,” I call after Charlie.

Then, looking at Max, I add, “My girl’s going to be legal soon.”

Max says, “Boom.”

Victoria Scott has been sooo very kind to set up a giveaway! You will have a chance to receive a digital copy of The Collector!

Peachy News: Victoria Scott Answers One Big Question About The Liberator (Dante Walker#2)!

So if you are a big fan of Victoria Scott's The Collector (Review), which was published April 2nd 2013, you may have heard that the sequel, The Liberator, already has its synopsis out, and that there has been quite some expression of diverse opinions regarding the fact that there will be a new female character starring in the series.

Some readers made various assumptions that there may be a love triangle, and for that reason already disapproving the sequel and the possible direction the series may be heading; so Ms. Scott has been very clever to clear the air on her blog on what the new female character will 'represent' in The Liberator.

"Victoria, will there be a love triangle in THE LIBERATOR?

I’ll say this–I am NOT a fan of love triangles. Aspen’s introduction is crucial to Dante’s spiritual and psychological journey, but that doesn’t mean she’s there to sexually entice him. I want readers to give our girl Aspen a chance, because she’s had a hard life and takes blows like a champion.

What I hope to accomplish in THE LIBERATOR is to show readers Dante’s evolution, or lack thereof, and Aspen helps us understand that. It’s as simple, and as complex, as that.

Peachy Author: Spotlight on Teresa Orts (from The Year of the Great Seventh)!

Today I would like to put a spotlight on Teresa Orts, the author of The Year of the Great Seventh, which will come out on July 6th, 2013. I'm luck to have been contacted by Ms. Orts to read and review her book! I have so far heard many great things about her book so I am super excited to get in to it! Please take the time to read all about her and her upcoming book as it sounds fascinating!

Unlike most authors, I didn't start writing books when I was five years old. In fact, I’d never been too interested in reading or writing. Hanging out with friends in the small Spanish town where I grew up always seemed more appealing than anything a book could offer.

It took about twenty-seven years and a global financial meltdown for me to discover the magic world of writing. At the time, I was living in New York City, and one morning I discovered I was no longer expected at my sixty-hour-a-week investment banking job. Most of my friends had very demanding jobs, so I spent my days wandering around on my own. Like other unemployed people, I started living through the nights and sleeping through the days. New York is known as the city that never sleeps for a good reason!

My Take So Far:
It took some times for me to get into the story as I never read anything relating to the tale of Camelot, but I am slowly but surely really enjoying this book! It has it all: Romance, thrill, suspension, and drama! My review will be up soon!

Vanguard of Hope Synopsis:
LISETVILLE, 1890 -- Murders are committed; homes are burned; family secrets are buried; an unexpected romance complicates lives. Amid the mystery and violence, a vigilante brigade emerges to administer justice.
Flowing through the intrigue and drama is a dark undercurrent that will touch your heart as you empathize with the victims.

My Take So Far:
I actually still need to really get into the book since I am only in the first chapters. So far it has a bit of a slow start as it is introducing each characters, but since the rave for this book is so high I am curious to find out what will happen next!

The Eternity Cure (Blood of Eden #2) Synopsis:

Allison Sekemoto has vowed to rescue her creator, Kanin, who is being held hostage and tortured by the psychotic vampire Sarren. The call of blood leads her back to the beginning—New Covington and the Fringe, and a vampire prince who wants her dead yet may become her wary ally.
Even as Allie faces shocking revelations and heartbreak like she’s never known, a new strain of the Red Lung virus that decimated humanity is rising to threaten human and vampire alike.

My Take:
This book was FANTASTIC! Read my (VERY) enthusiastic review HERE!

Pretty Dark Nothing Synopsis:

Sophia Within Synopsis:
Only time will tell if Sophia, Alec and the world are ready to accept the mission that has been passed down for many generations. This is more than a story of reincarnation. This is a story that never ended following the reign of the Greek gods.

What has been hidden for thousands of years is about to surface in a small New England town. The impact on this rural village is ageless, but only the chosen time travelers know what is happening, the reason it is happening and how to control the outcome.
The Men of Ages have walked the Earth unnoticed since the time of Greek mythology and have kept their ancient war alive by transporting the lead warrior in a most unusual time machine. There is only one way to stop the cataclysmic demise of the human race and Sophia is the answer. But, Sophia is a teenage girl faced with many human and nonhuman desires that create a tortuous path from antiquity to the present day. Love conquers all; or, so it seems.
